| Bio: | Name: James Damien Cooper (Called Jamie by his sisters and friends) Age/DOB: 24 / June 10, 1983 Gender: Male Sexuality: Homosexual Physical Description: James has brown hair that he usually keeps short and bluish-gray eyes. He is 5'9 and very lean, though not particularly muscular. He wears reading glasses and is very conscious of the fact that he looks much younger than he is. He usually has little or no facial hair. Personality: James is quiet and comes off as rather shy to strangers. Once he opens up, however, he is opinionated and talkative. He often prefers being alone and sketching and to an outsider, he seems as though he is in his own world most of the time. James is determined to succeed at his knew job, but he fears that because of his age, he may have trouble gaining respect from his students. History (Please write at least four/five paragraphs here. You're starting this character from scratch this is the place to flesh him/her out): As the only son of Philip and Julia Cooper, James was born into a life surrounded by high expectations. The Cooper family is a member of the Upper East Side elites: Philip owns real estate around the country and Julia attends or plans nearly every social event worth attending in the city. Nothing less than the best was expected from James. He attended Philips Andover in Massachusetts with his younger sisters Samantha and Elizabeth and spent every summer in the Hamptons. While in school, James discovered that he much preferred drawing to school work. He was constantly seen sketching in his notebook between classes and sometimes during classes. He drew everything from still lifes and landscapes to his room mates. When his parents received news of James's lack of attention in school, they signed him up for art electives at school in order to allow him to concentrate his passion. Although his grades did not improve much, James became an active part of the art department at school. During his time at Andover, James also discovered that he had a fascination with members of his own sex. He was always much more interested in sketches boys than he was girls and was teased in school for sketches of naked men that he often drew. The teasing didn't bother James much, nor was he horribly upset by his realization that he was gay. He came out to his parents after his senior year and they asked him to keep his sexuality private. Being a quite person to begin with, James agreed. After secondary school, James attended the Art Institute of New York City where he focused on drawing, painting, and graphic design. He had various boyfriends, but never found a serious relationship. Upon graduating, James set up a studio in his parent's home in the Hamptons and worked there, occasionally showing his work in the city. When the Secretary General of Public Health released the new policy on homosexuals, James only further closeted himself and continued his work. An ad in the newspaper announcing a newly opened position for an art teacher at Goldfinch Academy caught his eye, however, and in February of 2008 James moved to Missouri to fill the newly opened position.
